FASSET News MEDIA AND STAKEHOLDERS’ UPDATE STATEMENT
Title: MEDIA AND STAKEHOLDERS’ UPDATE STATEMENT
JOHANNESBURG,
25 AUGUST 2025The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) has noted various newspaper coverage from yesterday publications on Sunday, the 25th of August 2025.
These in the main seem to suggest that there is fight between the CETA and the Minister of Higher Education and Training, which is not true. We assure you that there is continuous and ongoing engagements between the CETA and the DHET / Ministry to resolve matters amicably.
The CETA would like to indicate that most of those publications wrote what they like based on whoever and whatever their sources are and not sanctioned from the organisation.[This is a continuation of the malicious and one-sided reporting we have seen over the past months, with an agenda to undermine the work of the CETA]. The only legitimate publication where an interview was held with CETA way in advance of the Gazetted notice published 19 August 2025, is that of the Sunday World.
We urge consumers of media news and our stakeholders to exercise caution and professional judgement on matters being reported.
